Follow these 3 easy steps to decorate yours!
First: Pick Pillows
If you have a mudroom bench, one thing you should try to always have on it, is at least one to two pillows. A bench is super functional for your family members and guests to put on and take off shoes easily, but who wants an uncomfortable spot to do so? No one. Choose pillows with bright spring colors to neutrals that coordinate best with the styling of your home and instantly create a more comfortable space.
Second: Add Necessities
Mudroom decor can also include functional items! Add your necessities and those go-to essentials in your mudroom. Whether that be by placing weave baskets above on a shelf for hiding away seasonal hats and gloves, or hanging your favorite jackets and cardigans on hooks for easy access when it gets a little chilly in the evenings. Don't forget about finding a designated spot for shoes, such as underneath the bench or along a wall on a stylish shoe rack. By having your essentials hung and stored in cute baskets, you'll not only be ready for spring, but your mudroom will also look decorated for spring as your items double as decor!
Third: Finish by Placing Rug
Entry rugs don't only belong at the front door! Use a similar rug in your mudroom and create a space for placing shoes or for keeping the floors clean, as your loved ones put on and take off their shoes. One with a personalized message or spring-related theme will spruce up your little space in no time!
Final Tip: Less is more. Try to only keep the essentials and a few decor items in your mudroom or it can quickly look cluttered. Your necessities can also double as decor if you arrange them and pick similar shades or complementary colors for your space.
